Editor’s Note: I’ll admit when I wrote this my heart was no longer in telling this story. There was a lot going on in my life, including my decision to quit my job without a solid backup plan in place. This was one example of why I put a personal restriction on myself to only write stories when I feel like writing them and to never feel obligated. It is the reason my draft folders are now full of stories I might revisit someday if the inspiration strikes, but I’ve learned to be content with not completing them out of obligation.
